Steering Rack

Steering Rack

The steering rack converts rotational steering wheel input into precise linear movement that directs the vehicle’s wheels. Inside the rack, a pinion gear engages a toothed bar, supported by bushings and sealed hydraulic chambers in power-assisted systems. When a rack wears—due to internal seal degradation, gear wear, or contamination—symptoms include excessive play, uneven steering effort, fluid leakage, and reduced directional stability. Severe deterioration can lead to unpredictable steering behavior and dangerous loss of control.

Porza steering racks are engineered to deliver OEM-level mechanical precision, featuring hardened rack-and-pinion interfaces, wear-resistant seals, and accurately machined housings. Their hydraulic circuits restore proper pressure balance and smooth power assist, eliminating stiffness, noise, and steering dead zones. Porza’s exact-tolerance internal components maintain consistent gear mesh engagement, ensuring precise road feedback and stable directional control.

Reliable rack performance is crucial for handling accuracy, safety, and vehicle stability, especially under high-speed or emergency maneuvers. Porza ensures long-term durability through advanced materials, corrosion-resistant coatings, and premium sealing technology, bringing the steering system back to its original responsiveness and structural integrity.
